Just Breathe

“Everything will always be okay.” – Angel Cancel

These last few months have been trying. I’ve been dealing with post-grad issues like trying to find a full-time job related to my degree, trying to move out of my current apartment, being indecisive on grad-school altogether, working six days a week while still trying to maintain a personal life, and other day-to-day occurrences.  Truthfully, I am overwhelmed, but it’s not all bad.

Sometimes we become so frustrated with our current situations that we forget to be thankful for how far we’ve come. I mean just take a few minutes and think about where you were last year during this time. All those goals that were accomplish mean something. I don’t know about anybody else, but I will no longer allow the bad times to outshine the good because bad times don’t last forever.

Sure I wish all of these problems just subsided, but that’s not reality. Life is not about living problem free, it’s about living in spite of them. These past few months haven’t been the best, but I wouldn’t have it any other way because I know that there is a lesson to come and a blessing to follow. Everything will work itself out so I will continue to remind myself to just breathe.

What are you going through today that you will not let it get the best of you?

XO

Katherine

I took a long breathe before reading your post. I am overwhelmed as well with a new job and handling more duties than what they advertised on the job post. Life as an older person is still overwhelming no matter what age you are. We’ll have to take each day and let it flow….

It can definitely be hard when it feels like everything is piling on at once. Between working and getting ready for my sisters wedding I’m just so busy. I’m looking forward to next weekend when it’s all over and our routine goes back to normal.

Yeah sometimes things can just pile up on you, I’ve been dealing with a lot of health issues lately but I’m turning them into positive inspiration for those around me and I think I’m starting to believe it myself. Thank you for posting

  12. Yes! I read a quote the other day that really resonated with me: “your life is only a dream to many others.” So, I try not to sweat the small or even medium stuff. Like you, yes, there is crap going on, there always will be. But I am so grateful for my life, the people I have in it, medical care, food, water, a safe place to live, warm socks, and many things beyond that. Like the person above, I am also going through medical issues but I am working on staying positive. I am limited, but there are still so many great things about my life. 🙂 Thank you for a wonderful post!

Life’s hurdles can only come between you and your happiness if you allow it! It’s easy to get overwhelmed if we focus on too much simultaneously instead of tackling one thing at a time (prioritizing). I’m continually working to prioritize things daily so that I don’t lose myself and go insane.
good luck in life! I wish you the best ; )

  15. You certainly have a lot on your plate right now, and I commend you for juggling it all so gracefully. Remember many things are just situational, and while they may be overwhelming at the moment they will run its course and life will become balanced once again.
