Invest Your Time Freely

As I continue on this journey of becoming a better me, I once again stepped outside of my comfort zone. This time, I did it in the form of volunteering. The reason I considered this experience stepping outside my comfort zone is because I am very specific about what I give my time to. I usually spend my time doing things that affect me directly, but when I received an email requesting for volunteers, everything in my body said “yes”. My desire to want to help prevailed and I replied back to the email committing to volunteer for the event.

Just Breathe

These last few months have been trying. I’ve been dealing with post-grad issues like trying to find a full-time job related to my degree, trying to move out of my current apartment, being indecisive on grad-school altogether, working six days a week while still trying to maintain a personal life, and other day-to-day occurrences.  Truthfully, I am overwhelmed, but it’s not all bad.

Letter To My Younger Self

Dear Katherine,

It’s me – you. I finally gathered the courage to do this. Well here goes…

I hope that you know that you have your whole life ahead of you. Don’t worry so much about the future, just be in the present and make it beautiful. I know that may be challenging since you’re always anxious, but you will come out on the other side of your current situations. Just enjoy being young, wild, and carefree. Enjoy school – adulting is not as fun as it looked on the movies.
